Overview
The plastic crusher reduces bulky plastic waste to flakes of a controlled size, which is the form every downstream stage — washing, separation and drying — is designed to handle. Rotor geometry, blade arrangement and screen aperture are selected for the material, because film and woven bag cut very differently from thick pipe or injection-moulded crates.
Cutting chamber
Moving blades are mounted on a heavy rotor and cut against fixed bed blades, producing a scissor action rather than a tearing one. That distinction matters: a clean cut produces flakes of consistent size and generates less fines and dust, which in turn means less material lost through the washing stage.
Throughput and sizing
Output depends far more on the bulk density and form of the input than on the nominal machine size. A crusher handling blown film will pass a very different tonnage from the same machine handling solid pipe. We size the unit from your material and your target hourly output, and we will tell you honestly when a smaller machine will do the job.
Maintenance
The cutting chamber opens for access to blades and screen. Blades are replaceable and can be re-ground, so cutting edges can be restored in your own workshop rather than the machine being shipped back to us.
